Wears Valley Business Sponsors NASCAR’s Female Racers
Started in 1993 Rocky Top has grown, and grown, to the point that it
is now a storefront for a fudge empire reaching all the Way to the fast
tracks of NASCAR.
According to their website Grandma Ruby's is a family-owned
business with locations in Minnesota and Tennessee. The Carpenter
family- Harvey & Kari, live in Minnesota. The Junions, Dan & Marni,
live here, - of course!
Kari and Marni are sisters and, in case you're wondering, Grandma
Ruby is a real person – “she's our grandma”, say the sisters.
The company sponsors Johanna Long of D'hondt Racing, the 2009
Gulf Coast Champion. Long just won her second Super Late Model
championship this year.
In addition to Long, Grandma Ruby's supports another driver, Tiffany
Daniels, a Drive for Diversity candidate who has recently run in
NASCAR's Camping World Series East.
On their website, the question is posed; “Why support women in
Motorsports?”
The sisters answer that Women across the United States and around
the world increasingly challenge traditional thinking in career choices.
Johanna is doing exactly that and is an inspiration to young women
everywhere.
Grandma Ruby would tell her to "go for it!" and that was enough
reason for us to join the D'Hondt Motorsports family...provide our
support to make dreams come true for this young lady and others with
the courage to chase their dreams.
Grandma Ruby’s offers fudge in all flavors ranging from Cherry
chocolate to the orange and vanilla cream swirled “creamsicle” fudge.
For a limited time several varieties of Peppermint topped Fudges are
available, for a full list visit Rocky top country Store or visit Grandma
Ruby online at www.GrandmaRubys.com
