WEARS VALLEY ROADS AND RIVERS SPRING CLEAN UP DAY SCHEDULED

The already successful community-wide Wears Valley Roads and Rivers Spring Clean Up Day should not only again be productive but also even more fun this year.Fran Troxler, co-owner of East Tennessee Realty Group and Keep Sevier Beautiful Wears Valley chairman, tells the Voice that every participant in the cleanup this year will receive a unique Wears Valley t-shirt.  Additionally, the t-shirts will be in all sizes, hopefully guaranteeing that every participant from small to extra large will receive a shirt to fit.  Fran says that in the past clean ups, the national Keep America Beautiful campaign has provided t-shirts, but, unfortunately, usually they have always been extra-large sized.  Many of our local school children take part in this event, and it has been disappointing to the kids not to get a t-shirt to fit.  This year, East Tennessee Realty Group will provide t-shirts with a Wears Valley theme to each participant.Additionally, after the clean-up, ETRG will host a Cook-Out and Games afternoon for the Clean Up participants and any other members of the Wears Valley community.  The cook-out and games will begin at 12:30 p.m. and will be held behind the real estate office building.  All members of the community are invited out for this fun-filled afternoon.  “It is a great way to say thanks to all the clean up participants, as well as a chance to get together with friends in the community.  We’ll play some ball…we might even have a game of adults against the kids!”  Fran Troxler commented.  “It should be a great spring day to clean up our community and have some fun with one another!” The Spring cleranup is scheduled for March 20, 2010.
